It's early July, 2012, and this week the Midwestern U.S. is socked in with an enormous heat wave. This isn't unexpected, even in the course of the greater Global Warming (yeah, let's call it that). It's simply our turn. This happened to Australia in their summer of 2010, remember that their summer is is in January. It happened to Asia (especially Russia and Pakistan) in 2010. Moscow often broke 100 degrees F, which is either extraordinarily rare or has never happened.
This weather pattern will be hitting the Eastern Seaboard this weekend, which means it will actually matter.
And yet most of our corporate media sees nothing wrong:
THIS is the defining moral issue of our time, and yet we just keep whistling past the graveyard.

The last time, it took 4 years and 600,000 dead to rid ourselves of this disease.
I know that the clip is a little long, but I encourage you to watch the whole thing, especially the part when she goes to Alaska. I'm a frequent (but not every night religious, sigh) viewer of her show. And I remember seeing that segment when it first aired in 2010. The sheer unfounded paranoia that she finds easily on the street is amazing.
We're watching 20% of this country go right off the crazy cliff.
Of course, Maddow's piece is so good that you can take it in other directions.

Testing 123
This is just a test. I will say nothing of consequence in this post
